However, the pristine beauty of the landscape was spoilt by litter... Since time immemorial the holiday of Tu Bishvat has been celebrated in Israel as a “new year” for trees. In contemporary Israel the day is also celebrated as an ecological awareness day when trees are planted across the country. Two closely located kindergartens were invaded by earth beetles and the municipality had to remove the children’s gardens. The Holosophic Society Israel decided to help the children and restore the lost gardens.
