To delight elderly people, Know Thyself as Soul – Arad volunteers collaborated with Samovar, an association for pensioners.
We prepared gifts with sweets: cookies, dried fruits, tea, and Bamba (a very popular peanut butter flavoured snack).
On December 7th, together with the association’s management team, we simultaneously handed out 150 gifts in two districts of the city. While some of the elderly were able to pick up the gifts themselves at the association, others were not. For those, we personally delivered the gifts to their homes.
It was always touching to watch people’s faces change and a smile appear, because someone cared for them. Our joy of giving warmed their hearts.
