Volunteers from Know Thyself as Soul Feldkirchen have helped with food delivery to needy people since July 2020. In the autumn we thought about how to give a little joy for people in need.
We created a set of homemade products for each gift package: a piece of apple bread, a jar of jam, a handmade beeswax candle, a lavender sachet filled with lavender blossoms from an organic garden, sweets, and small oranges decorated with a heart of cloves, which smelled delicious. One of our volunteers placed all these little gifts in paper bags.
On December 12th, we distributed them during our regular delivery. People were surprised to receive an extra gift just before Christmas. And, although physically apart, we had the feeling of doing something together.
