Poland, April 2020
Volunteers from Lighthouse Center Poland contacted the manager of the homeless home to inquire how they were doing and if anything was needed. Our call was just in time. The entire home of 72 residents was put in quarantine for COVID-19 and was in urgent need of vegetables, pasta, oil, and disinfectant as they could not leave the home for shopping and had only a very minimum food supply remaining. According to these needs, we went shopping for them, adding pumpkins from the LCP garden and some additional items the LCP crew had extra of. As little Easter gifts we decorated chocolates for each resident and packaged everything together according to the current hygiene regulations.

We delivered and unloaded the boxes at the home´s gate to keep the required social distance. Some of the residents greeted us outside with waving hands and calling out their sincere thanks for the greatly appreciated support.
