Switzerland, December 2019
The Soupe Populaire (soup kitchen) is an organisation in Lausanne that offers a daily hot meal to less fortunate people in society. In early December, the volunteers in the French-speaking part of Switzerland joined forces to support Soupe Populaire. One group spent the afternoon cooking under the guidance of a professional chef, and the other one helped serve the meals in the evening. Everything went very well and 220 people enjoyed the hot dinner. It was a very rewarding experience for our volunteers, who look forward to returning in 2 – 3 months.
